Bruno, Aug. 16 - Anton Abraham died of cancer of the stomach and complications at his home in Bruno on Tuesday morning Aug. 9, after an illness of several months. The funeral was held on Thursday, Aug. 11, from the home to St. Anthony's church, with Rev. Father Pazourek, of Loma, in charge of the services. Interment was in the Bruno cemetery, beside the grave of Mrs. Abraham, who died in Aug. 1913.
Anton Abraham was born in Chotabudic, Moravia, on January 17, 1845, and was aged 92 years, 6 months and 22 days at time of his death. He was a blacksmith by trade, but on coming to the United States in 1875 followed the occupation of farming. After retiring from farm life some years ago he moved to Bruno with his daughter, Cecelia, and sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances Francke. He is survived by two sons, Joseph of Bruno and Peter, and three daughters, Miss Cecelia of Bruno, Mrs. Frances Barta of Verona, N. D., and Mrs. Jacob Bongers of Brainard.
