Allegedly murdered by his mother in law Nancy B. (Mann) Madan 1812-1879, by a pistol shot to the head. Nancy was sentenced to life in prison at the Norfolk County House of Correction.
Newspaper reports in the New York Herald say that there was a squabble between the two. It is unclear as to what the motive was.
His Spouse was Sarah Melissa Madan born in Stoughton, MA 1843.
He is a Civil War veteran who served in the Union Army Company D 12th MASS Infantry regiment, Company C 39th Infantry regiment and finally Company C 32nd MASS Inf regiment.
His civilian occupation was FARMER
