A. Brown Funeral Wednes.

Services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Yenzer Brothers Funeral Home chapel for Archie Carl Brown, who died Saturday at his home in Clinton.

The Rev. C. T. Perkins officiated at the service and music was furnished by Miss Opal Stevens. She sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Abide With Me". The accompanist at the piano was Mrs. C. T. Perkins.

Bearers were August Burchart, Velvie Bridal, Rube Anderson, Ralph Godfrey, Carl Marrs and C. A. Stewart. Burial was made in the Crescent cemetery under the direction of Yenzer Brothers.

Archie Carl Brown, son of James and Georgia Ann Brown, was born March 9, 1886 and departed this life May 12 at Clinton after a few weeks illness. Mr. Brown was born near Sedan, Kan., and when a young man he moved with his parents to Oklahoma and settled near Crescent.

He was united in marriage to Miss Etha Baker on Oct. 15, 1907 at Sedan, Kan. Seven children were born to this union, six sons and one daughter.

For a number of years he was engaged in the farming business near Crescent. He later worked as an employee in the oil fields and at one time drove the school bus.

His wife and one son, Neal, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his five sons, Nelson and Nolan of Salina, Noble, Graybeal, Ill., Newmann, Mt. Pleasant, Mich., and Norman with the United States Army in Belgium; one daughter, Mrs. Nadine Kouch, Vernon, Tex.; three grandchildren; his father, James Brown of Crescent; five brothers; four sisters and other relatives and friends.
