PONTIAC — Marjorie Tribley, 90, of Pontiac, died at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 4, 2012) at Evenglow Tjardes Health Care Center, in Pontiac.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church in Pontiac, with pastors Dieter and Heidi Punt officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be at South Side Cemetery. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac, is handling the arrangements.
Memorials in Marjorie's name may be made to the First Lutheran Church in Pontiac.
Marjorie was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Pontiac, a daughter of Oscar and Cordelia (Olson) Hetland. She married Harold Tribley on March 12, 1943, in Pontiac. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1997.
She was the loving mother of four children, Kay (Dick) Thompson, Sandra (Terry) Pinkerton, Barbara (David) Bertsche and Keith (Cindy) Tribley; 12 grandchildren, Laura Isenberg, Todd Pinkerton, Susan (Jason) Farris, Miles (Katie) Bertsche, Emlyn (James) Quinn, Elizabeth Bertsche, Alexandra (Michael) Porth, Michael Tribley, Daniel Tribley, Matthew Tribley, Jordan Tribley and Jonathan Hill; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one granddaughter, Dana Thompson; two brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Tribley graduated from Pontiac Township High School. She was a homemaker. She was an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Pontiac and a member of the Women's Club and the Fun Timer's Club in Pontiac. She loved to golf. Marjorie was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
