Sarah Elizabeth Caroline Anderson was born in Cumberland County Kentucky. She moved to Fannin County, Texas in 1889 with her mother, brother (Edward T Anderson) and sister Patsy [Anderson] Vincent and family. She took care of her widowed brother's three sons and her mother Mary Ann [Thrasher] Anderson for a decade. Then she married windower William W Hopson and together they had three sons: Escar Cyrus Hopson, Ervin/Irvin Oscar Hopson and Royce Jerome Hopson. The couple moved to Okahoma in early 1900s where Sarah died in 1917
