Death claimed another pioneer resident of the county today when Mrs. Mary Roland, nee Duggan, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Daly, Jr., at Maple Grove aged, 68. Mrs. Roland had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services will be held at Maple Grove Friday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev Casey officiating at the home.
Mrs. Roland, born at Milwaukee, came to Manitowoc as a child of 5 and has since resided here. She was married to Mr. Roland Feb. 5 1883 and is survived by 2 sons and two daughters, Jerry, of Cato, Mrs. John O'Neil, Maple Grove, William and Mrs. John Daly, of Franklin. Five brothers John Duggan of Green Bay, Thomas and Daniel of Cato, Timothy at Cedar River Mich., and Michael at Maple Grove and one sister, Mrs. J. D. Nate of Franklin, also survive and there are thirteen grand children. Mrs. Roland was a member of the Altar society.
