Mrs. Betty Leole Elgin, wife of Emerson Elgin, of Jefferson St. Northport NY, passed away on Tuesday Jan. 25 in Lenox Hill Hospital. She died after five months of unconsciousness due to an undiagnosed illness.
Betty was born in Canfield OH on Oct. 31, 1918, the daughter of Charles M. and Cloyd R. (Emery) Rosenberger. She had been a resident of Northport for 3 years.
Surviving besides her husband, were two daughters, Mary Jane 10, and Bobbie Belle 9; her parents; two sisters, Mrs. Faye Belle Worrel (Robert) of Scudder Ave. Northport, and Mrs. Norma Jean Rosenberger of Struthers OH, and four brothers, Ralph, Charles, Roy and Donald Rosenberger all of Struthers. A brother, Frederick Daniel Rosenberger passed as an infant.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday afternoon at the S. Robbins & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert E. Luccock, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in Long Island National Cemetery at Pinelawn.
