Ethel B. Acker, 92, of Coleman, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Tendercare Inc., in Mount Pleasant.

She was born on Aug. 15, 1910, on Isabella County, the daughter of Henry and Florence (Lackie) Anderson. Ethel B. Anderson married Eldean Acker in Mount Pleasant on June 27, 1936; he died on Dec. 31, 1992. Ethel taught school for many years at Coleman, retiring in 1965. She was also a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Coleman. Ethel is survived by her daughter, Martha and Mike Hasenfratz of Coleman; two sons, Wally and Janie Acker of Clare and All and Debra Acker of Coleman; seven grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; her brother, Don and Erma Anderson of Farwell; and her sister, Marvilla and Adolph Litrenta of Hollywood, Fla. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Lloyd Anderson; and her sister, Naomi Turpin.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2003, from the Faith United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dave Koski will officiate. Burial will take place in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. today from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the church starting at 9 a.m.
