OBITUARY :
AUDREY K. HALLOWELL, age 83, of Chambersburg, Pa., passed away at Manor Care Health Services on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012.

Born in Hagerstown, Md., on Jan. 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Irene L. Bowers Snyder.

An avid genealogist, Mrs. Hallowell traced her ancestors for many generations. She was a homemaker most of her life, and she enjoyed quilting, antiquing, making Teddy bears and raising goats. An avid puzzle solver, she enjoyed completing crosswords, jigsaw puzzles and Scrabble.

Surviving is her daughter, Debra Kaminski (husband Donald) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Winnie Stouffer of Waynesboro, Pa., and Ed Snyder of Hagerstown. In addition, she is survived by her companion, David Behling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Hallowell, on Dec. 25, 1996.

Graveside services will be Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Beaver Creek Cemetery, Hagerstown, where Pastor S. Dwight Morgan will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
