Funeral services for Roy Allen, 62, former Cass City resident, were held Thursday Dec 23, at Carsonville following his death unexpectedly in Detroit Monday Dec 20. He was born Sept 23, 1903 in Sanilac County, the son of Mr and Mrs Elmer Allen. He married the former Agnes Karnell Jan 26, 1923, in Texas.
A member of the Sanilac F&AM Lodge 237 and an Army Veteran, Mr Allen was employed for the last 25 years by the Chrysler Corp transportation system in Detroit. Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters, Betty Jane Allen and Louise Allen, and a sister, Mrs Ruth Wenberge, all of Detroit. Interment was in the Moshier Cemetery near Hemans. Masonic rites were held the preceding evening.
