FIKE, LUBIE CARNELIA LITTLE, was born May 17, 1923 in Smithville Mississippi and went to Heaven Friday, September 5, 2008 at her home in Corner, Alabama. She was a member of Gardendale's First Baptist Church. She will be long remembered for her love of faith, family and friends. Her strength came from the Lord and her legacy will live on.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Emmett E. Fike, Jr.; six children, Judy (Tommy) Barker, Jerry (Marilyn) Fike, Roni (Jerry) Baldwin, Janis Fike, Jackie (Dave) Koebel, and Jill Fike; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; eight sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Gardendale Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Harrison and Rev. Leon Zalenski officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
