Born to Andrew Jackson Williams and Eliza Jane Price in Izard County Arkansas, which became Stone County in 1870. He married Lucinda Florence Jacobs in Stone County Arkansas March 1, 1888 and daughter Lena Williams (Miller) was born there 1892. They came to Milam County, Texas to farm in 1894 and the rest of their children were born there: Andrew Cheston Williams (1894-1967) married Clyde Holley; Alice Williams (born 1896) married first Charley Kirk, second Frank Schlemmer; Cecil Williams (1898-1968) married Mimmie Ethel McFarland; Earnest Williams (1900-1951) married Alice Hayes Robison; Maudie Irene Williams (1904-1967) married Phillip Braden; Hubert Denson Williams (1907-1980) married Gracie Farmer; Jeff Williams (1909-1964) married Sarah Richardson; son Edgar Bernice Williams (1912-) married Meda Bailey; and Milton Travis Williams (1916-1945) married May Bell Penny and was killed April 1945 in Okinawa. News of his son's death felled John Wesley Williams with a heart attack and he died June 4,1945.
