Bew, James Russell Sr. "Buddy" Born July 28, 1942 in Grenada, MS. He went home to be with our Lord and Savior October 31, 2011 after a courageous battle with a lingering illness. He was employed at Caterpillar Tractor Co., as well as, Bernard's Car Wash for many years. He worked many years as a bus driver, employed by Pace Bus. Co. (formerly, Joliet Transit). He then became a self employed contractor and refurbished real estate. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie B.C. Bew and Luellar Wright Bew, two grandsons, Mark Bew Jr. and Michael Yarborough, one sister, Willie Louise (Wright) Lewis, one brother, Ivory C. Bew, two special nephews, Darnell and Carl Reed, one niece, Mary Louise Mays. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his devoted wife and caretaker, Sidneyetta (Edwards) Bew, the mother of his loving children, Michael Sr., James, Jr. (Christina), Mark Sr., Carl, Sidney III, Kimberlene and Sparkle Bew, three special adopted daughters that later became a part of the Bew family, Mariah, Kamora and Savanna Bew, 25 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one brother, George Bew of Joliet, IL, six sisters, Armelda Scott of Gary, IN, Luellar McNear of Grenada, MS, Ora (Coy) McElrath, Mamie (Telfoir) Reed, Lorine (Sam) Mitchell, Dorothy (Cornelius) Gray, all of Joliet, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation Monday, November 7, 2011 from 5:00 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday, November 8, 2011 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 402 Singleton Pl., Joliet, IL.
