Whitaker, Charles D. Jr.Age 35. Passed away suddenly, Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Griffith, IN where he had lived the past three months. Charles was born in Joliet, and resided in Morris most of his life before moving to Las Vegas and most recently Indiana for work. A graduate of Morris High School Class of 1995. He was a plumber/pipe fitter, member of Local #597 (formerly #422). Charles was a huge Cubs and Bears fan, he enjoyed fishing and motorcycling, but above of all he was a loving and devoted father to his daughter Abby. She was always on his mind and in his heart.
He is survived by his parents, Charles Sr. and Sharon Whitaker, of Morris; his daughter, Abrielle; sister, Bethany (Robert) Jones; ex-wife and dear friend, Melissa Whitaker; aunts, Sandra (Norman) Schaal, Timarie Maske, Sharon (the late James) Parker, Nancy (Richard) Yudzentis and Mary (Dennis) Bogart; cousins, Christopher Schaal and Brandon (Gina) Schaal; many more cousins and good friends near and far. Preceded by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Bernice Maske; and his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Dorothy Whitaker.
Funeral Services for Charles D. Whitaker, Jr. will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the family for his daughter's future education would be appreciated. Visitation Today, Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at
