1850 census, Mary is single and residing with her parents in Buckles Grove, McLean Co, Illinois.

She was first married to Amos "William" Griggs (born 1826 in Kentucky) between 1850-1857.

1860 census, Mary and son, Amos Milton Griggs are residing in Clintonia, DeWitt Co, Illinois, with the Harry Brown family.

On November 25, 1871, she was united in marriage to George Duvall (born February 14, 1808 in Pickaway County, Ohio) in Piatt Co, Illinois. They had one son, George Jewell Duvall.

On August 15, 1903, she was united in marriage to Enoch Payne in Milan, Sullivan Co, Missouri. Mr. Payne died in 1910.

According to the 1900 census, Mary report having 7 children and only 3 of them were living at that time. I have only been able to determine 2 of them. She and her son, George Jewell Duvall were residing in Bloomington City, McLean Co, Illinois with Mary's brother, Joseph Neal.

I was not able to find Mary in the 1870 or 1880 censuses. Her son, Amos was residing with his paternal grandparents, Edward and Malinda Griggs in Manito, Mason Co, Illinois in 1870.

In the 1880 census, her husband George Duvall is residing with his son William, (from his previous marriage) in Goose Creek, Piatt Co, Illinois.
