Killed in action while serving with the 377th Air Base Wing (Tan San Nhut), 7th Air Force. Recipient of the Purple Heart, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Farris. Named for uncle, Kenneth Dayle Farris, that was killed in Belgium in World War II.

His name is located on Panel 2W, Line 126 of the Vietnam Memorial.

Word has been received of the death of Staff Sergeant Dale W. Farris, 25, 1201 South Daytona Avenue, Flagler Beach, who was reported killed in action at Phu Cat Air Force Base, Vietnam, March 31.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Darren, 4, and Damon, 1, all of Flagler Beach; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Farris, Weatherford, Texas; a brother, Bobby Farris, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Funeral services for Staff Sergeant Dale W. Farris, who was killed in action March 31 at South Vietnam, were held Saturday morning at 11:00 in Johnson Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Combs, pastor, officiating.
Pallbearers were Art Knoblaugh, Butch Taylor, Billy Dunson, Gerald Combs, Charles Green, Ken Thomas and Richard Stuckey.
Full Military Honors and interment were Monday at Odessa, Texas.
He was born in Seminole, Texas and served five years in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; two sons, Darren, 4, and Damon, 1; all of Flagler Beach; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Farris, and a brother, Bobby, all of Weatherford, Texas.
