CADY, Curtis Albert – Age 84, of Roseburg, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 1997 at a local hospital. He was born November 30, 1912 in Davenport, North Dakota to Ira Earl and Anna Amelia (Koepsel) Cady.

He lived and went to school in Leonard, North Dakota.

Curtis married Avenell M. Dahl on December 20, 1943 in Long Beach, California.

Mr Cady served during World War II as a Staff Sergeant with the Corps of Engineers. He was stationed at Hanford Engineer Works in Richland, Washington, where parts of the Atomic Bomb were made.

He played the accordion for a local orchestra while he lived in Leonard. He enjoyed dance music the most. Curtis also loved to travel.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years. Avenell; a brother, Kenneth Cady of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three half-sisters.

Funeral service will be held Monday, March 17, 1997 at 11 a.m. at WILSON'S CHAPEL OF THE ROSES. Chaplain Ed Avila will officiate. Private interment will be in Roseburg Memorial Gardens.
