MRS. EDNA STROUP SUCCUMBS SUNDAY

Mrs. Edna Viola Stroup, 49, Little Rock, died at 2:20 p.m. Sunday at Saint Vincent hospital, Little Rock, following a lingering illness.

Born at Valliant, she was employed at McCurtain Memorial hospital in Idabel before moving to Little Rock. She was a nurses aide and a member of the First Christian church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Willie Dean, Little Rock; four brothers, Thomas and Arthur Moran, both of Valliant; Cecil Moran, Toledo, Ore., and Ray Moran, Oklahoma City; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Stroup, Hot Springs, Ark.; Mrs. Louis Mussett, Wright City, and Mrs. Earl Gaskey, Sweet Home, Ore., and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pilgrim Rest church at Mound Grove with Rev. W. W. Starnes officiating.

Arrangements and burial in the Mound Grove cemetery were under direction of Coffey funeral home.
