David Emerson Fayette was born in Plattsburgh, the son of Elmer Howard Fayette and Beatrice Katherine Tamer Fayette on 5 August 1946. He died on 1 Nov 2004, in a hospital in Nashville. David was a victim of chronic lymphocyte leukemia but kept going through all the pain. He ran his own Business in Smithville until he was no longer able to do so. It was Dave's Wheel and Alignment Shop.

He married Linda Dashnaw on February 4, 1967. They were the parents of Paul, Matthew and Tamara who survive and still reside in Smithville, TN, along with grandchildren. In addition he is survived by six siblings: Nancy Fayette Anderson LaMar, Norman George Fayette and his wife Jacqueline Hewston,
Carol Ann Fayette Martin Kipp and her husband, Rodney, Judith Mae Fayette Bombard and her husband Robert, Brenda Fayette Behan La Forest, and Concetta Maureen Fayette Dashnaw.

David had a fantastic voice and even won some Elvis competitions. He sang occasionally at weddings and other functions. He was a member of Jehovah's witnesses. Dave had a hard time learning to read and it was reading these teachings that he was able to read and speak in public.

He will live on in many hearts and minds.
