MYERS, LESLIE L.—Leslie L. Myers passed away at Greeley, Col., Monday evening, March 16, 1964, aged 82 years, 8 months and 23 days. He had been ill since November, 1963.

Mr. Myers was born June 22, 1881, near Columbus, O. He came to Nebraska with his family when a small boy. The family settled in Fillmore county. Mr. Myers spent most of his life in and around Geneva, where he farmed. He was married to Bertha White of Geneva September 16, 1903. She died in Geneva in 1923.

In May, 1935, Mr. Myers was married to Mrs. Alma Shapley at Clay Center, Neb. They lived at Geneva until 1950, when they moved to Greeley, Col.

Throughout his life Mr. Myers had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed gardening. He always shared his harvest with friends and neighbors. He continued his gardening until last fall.

Mr. Myers was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America many years. He received a 50-year pin from the lodge at Geneva.

Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, a son Floyd of Fleming, Col., a daughter, Mrs. Ada (James) Demaree of Minneapolis, Kas., four step-daughters, Mrs. Brooks (Velma) Stanley, Mrs. Otis (Erma) Kindvall and Mrs. Arthur (Fern) Oestereick, all of New Rayner Col., and Mrs. Marvin (Blanche) Lockhart of Hot Springs, S. D., three step-sons, Lyle Shapley of Stoneham, Col., and George and Donald Shapley, both of Greeley, Col.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Hall of Geneva and Mrs. Earl (Eva) Morey of Gordon; a brother, Ralph of Eugene, Ore; six grandsons, two great-grandchildren, 31 step-grandchildren and 21 step-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Greeley, Col, Tuesday, March 17, at 3:30 p. m. The body was brought to Geneva, where services were held at the Evangelical United Brethren church, Thursday, March 19; at 3 p. m. Rev. Clifford Bahr officiated. Pallbearers were George Gewecke, Wilson Miller, Robert Nunns Jr., John PIttard, Fred Fox and David Robare. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
