Virginia Loree Wheeler, 84, of Grants Pass died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at Royale Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center.

No services are planned. Private inurnment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Jan. 1, 1914, at Chino, Calif. She moved to Grants Pass in 1965 from South Gate, Calif. She worked as a clerk at various pharmacies including McLain's Drug Centre.

Survivors include a niece, Beverly J. Ashley of Bonanza; and a brother-in-law, George Olmsted of Manila, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, who died in 1972.
