Lora was the daughter of James and Belle Bowan Sisney. She grew to womanhood in Missouri and moved to Columbus at the age of eighteen. She married Arthur Duncan on Dec. 24, 1921, in Columbus and lived in the Columbus area the remainder of her life. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Robert Duncan of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Audrey) Cooper of Genoa, Ill. and Gladys Smith of Columbus; four brothers, Douglas Sisney of Arcadia, Ks., Otto Sisney of Hemet, Calif., Kenneth Sisney of Cassville, Mo., and Loy Sisney of Walsh, Colo.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Young of Oxnard, Cali., Mrs. Bernita Liesheimer of Aurora, Mo., Mrs. Opal Summers and Mrs. Myrtle Vickers; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
