SANDUSKY

August J. "Augie" Dee, 92, of
Sandusky, pass away peace-
fully Friday morning, Dec 31,
2004, at Firelands Regional Med-
ical Center, Main Campus, San-
dusky, after a brief illness.

He was born Jan. 9, 1912 in
Sandusky, and attended San-
dusky City Schools. Mr. Dee
worked for New Departure-
Hyatt (Division of General Motors)
more than 30 years, retiring
in 1977 as the maintenance
supervisor. In 1951 during
the early days, Mr. Dee
joined the Perkins Township Vol-
unteer Fire Department, where
he reached the rank of captain.
He also served three terms (12
years) as a Perkins Township
trustee and was recognized by
the state legislature of Ohio for
his service as a township trustee.
Mr. Dee loved golfing and gar-
dering.

Augie was a member of Sts.
Peter & Paul Catholic Church,
Italian-American Beneficial
Club, AMVETS, VFW and the
Sandusky Orioles Club

Survived by his two sons,
James C. (Mary Ann) Dee of San-
dusky and Ronald J. (Barbara) of
Norwalk; five grandchildren,
Anthony, James, Timothy, Brian,
Dee and Kari L. Breitbach; five
great-grandchildren; sister,
Aline Love of Sandusky; special
friend, Joyce Schenk of Sun-
dusky; and numerous nieces
and nephews.

Preeded in death by his par-
ents Vincenzo and Anna (Corso)

; wife, Gertrude (Denslow)
Dee
in 1981; and six brothers and
sisters.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m.
Monday at David F. Koch Funeral
Home, 520 Columbus Ave., San-
dusky. Prayers will be recited
9:40 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home followed by a Funeral
Mass at 10 a.m. in Sts. Peter &
Paul Catholic Church, 510
Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
Father John Brennen will offi-
ciated.

Burial will be in Calvary Ceme-
tery, Sandusky.

In liue of flowers, contribu-
tions may be made to Sts. Peter
& Paul Catholic Church, 510
Columbus Ave., Sandusky, OH
44870; or to the donor favorite
charity.
