Cross, Otis H. "Red" Passed away at his home, Saturday, September 10, 2011. Age 76 years.

Survived by his loving wife Darlene M. Cross (nee Sing Hardesty) his children Larry (Marie) Cross, Robert Cross, Sharon (Pete) Forst, Linda (Jim) Humphrey, Leanna (Carl) Cole, Lynn (Allan) Cave, Cindi (John) Glenski and Donald W. Hardesty. Nine grandchildren Jennifer (Jonathon) Harris, Jeanne (Aaron) Scriven, Jay Humphrey, Julie Forst, Carl Robert Cole, Timothy (Maureen) Cole, Tiffany (Paul) Cremer, Devin Glenski and Tyler Glenski. Two great-grandchildren Zander and Lanie Cremer. His brother Cecil Cross, two sisters MaryJo Benzschawel and Pauletta (Bill) Hamburg. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his first wife Bonnie Cross (nee Sing) and his parents Otis and Nora Cross.

Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Otis retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company after 54 years of service, starting in Joliet and transferring to Peoria, Davenport, IA and San Paulo, Brazil. Member of First Church of God for many years. He enjoyed going to gospel music conventions and concerts.

Red was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandpa who will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held for family and church family at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Wednesday, September 14 at 11:00 A.M. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to the First Church of God will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00 8:00 p.m.
