Leroy D. Kroft, 96, died at 11:32 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at the York County Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Sara N. (Aughenbaugh) Kroft, who died February 26, 1999. His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. 87 south Main St. Mt. Wolf. Viewing will be from 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Chaplain Susan Oelrich from the York County Nursing Home. The York County Veterans Honor Guard will perform flag folding services at the graveside. Mr. Kroft was born January 20, 1907, in York. He was the son of the late William and Hattie (Hubley) Kroft. He retired after 36 years with the New York Wire Cloth the former American Wire Fabrics in Mount Wolf and also worked for The Wolf Organization for 10 years. He was a United States Navy veteran, having served during W.W.II. He was a member of the Mount Wolf V.F.W. Post 2493 and Otterbein United Methodist Church, both in Mount Wolf. Mr. Kroft is survived by one son, Dean Kroft and one daughter, Betty Beaverson, both of York; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five greatgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Rentzel of York. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions may be made to The York County Nursing Home 118 Pleasant Acres Road York, PA 17402
