Thomas J. Breen, 64, of 409 South Bloomington Street, a lifelong resident of Streator, passed away March 12, 1956 at St. Mary's Hospital where he became a patient three days before. Death was the result of a heart condition.

He was born September 27, 1891 in Streator, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Breen. He married Agnes Keating on August 18, 1923.

Surviving are his wife; two sons: Thomas Richard Breen of Chicago and Robert M. Breen of Oak Park; and one daughter: Mary Breen at home; a brother: Raymond Breen of Chicago; and one sister: Mrs. Omar Trainor of Streator.

A brother, Felix, preceded him in death in 1954.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Leslie G. Woods Post of the American Legion. He also was a member of Streator Council Knights of Columbus and the Starved Rock Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Breen was employed in the office of the local plant of the Owens-Illinois Glass Company.
