Harvey was the 4th child born to Cincinnatis & Melvina Dillon. Harvey was a tall, extremely strong man that was known for his brut strength & kind heart. Harvey married Frances Gearheart in 1939, which cost them $.25 and they had 3 children whom they loved dearly. Harvey was extremely smart when it came to numbers, often performing complex math equations in his head. He worked for Grangeville Cemetery in Armona & later at Hanford Cemetery District until he retired. Uncle Harvey was not afraid to get his hands dirty, he worked very hard his entire life. Uncle Harvey lost his only son in 1970. He, like us, never recovered from that loss. He heard the Masters' call & took the hand of Jesus in 1985, leaving his wife, two daughters, grandchildren, numerous family members & his select friends. We believe that Uncle Harvey is awaiting the mother of all family reunions in heaven where there is joy, laughter & eternal love. Uncle Harvey is buried with his son James Hadley Dillon. He was a gentle giant that left a void in many hearts when he went to heaven. Uncle Harvey never spoke an unkind word about anyone, his heart was fashioned as pure gold & he led his life with love. Uncle Harvey typically wore blue denim, and carpenter overalls over his shirt on a daily basis unless the occasion called for him to wear other attire. By choice & depression era finances, Uncle Harvey preferred to walk. Uncle Harvey gave the best hugs ever!
