He was born April 26, 1909, Venice, Calif., to Edward T. and Anna McDade Bergin. He married Doris Webb; later divorced. He married Ruth E. Stegall, Downey, Calif., Oct. 14, 1952.
He was a retired general contractor.
Survivors: widow; sons, daughter; John, Jr., Canoga Park, Calif.; George R., Malibu, Calif.; Terry Cheryl, both Richfield; three grandchildren; brother, Edward T., Los Angeles.
Funeral services will be Saturday at Shannon Mortuary, Ft. Worth, Tex. Friends may call at Springer Mortuary Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Ft. Worth, Tex.
