Obituary From Tacoma News Tribune, May 2, 1958:

Vernon LeRoy Dimmitt, 77, of 3558 So. D St., died Thursday in a local hospital. Born in Ottumwa, Iowa, he came to Tacoma 19 years ago from Montana. He was a retired carpenter.

Mr. Dimmitt was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Emma; a daughter, Mrs. Agnes Viets of Big Timber Mont.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be announced by Mountain View Funeral Home.
