He was born September 3, 1924 in Layton the son of Joseph and Lorena Morgan Wiggill.
Melvin resided his entire life in Layton and was a member of the LDS Church.
Melvin worked for the Railroad, worked construction and his last job was a security guard.
He was an avid outdoors man and liked to fish and hunt.
Surviving are his sons Joseph (Stacy) Wiggill, RI; Melvin and Ronnie, daughter Pauline, numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchild, sister Una East and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother and six sisters.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Road. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main.
