Elizabeth I. Lattimer of RR 2, Athens, died at home on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 following an extended illness. Born in Waverly, N.Y., to the late Victor and Mary Spangenberg Camp, Elizabeth was a graduate of Sayre High School. She worked as a nurse's aide in many of the local hospitals and nursing homes. Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Victor Camp Jr. She is survived by: her husband of 44 years, Velton L. Lattimer, at home; her son and his fiancée, Velton Lattimer and Laura Rowe, of Athens; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Ruth Lattimer, of New Albany; her grandchildren, Patricia and Michael Rowe, of Athens, Kirk Thocker, of Zephyr Hills, Fla., Thomas Thocker, of South Carolina, and Aaron Thocker, of Florida; and sister, Mary Rumfola, of Chambersburg, Pa. Elizabeth also had several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home Inc. on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral and committal services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Tyson Wahle, Assistant Pastor of Keystone Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Orange Hill Cemetery, Litchfield.
