Robert "Buddy" Edmonds, 77, of Princeton, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at 2:36 pm.m at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, following a short illness.
Born Aug. 8, 1934, in Kuttawa, a son of the late James Hurley and Allie Crider Edmonds, he was a retired security guard at Kentucky Oaks Mall, an Army veteran and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Lyon county.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Mattie Cozetta White, Jesse Mae Robinson, Rose Kemp, Myrtle Redd and Bessie Bairs; three brothers, Clarence Edmonds, Lean Edmonds and Willie "Big John" Edmonds; and companion, Selena Atchison of Kuttawa.
Survivors include a son, Isaac Crowe of Paducah; a daughter; Victoria Crowe of Hopkinsville; and two grandchildren, Jamar Maurice L. McGowan and Shanika Gosha.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. at Morgan's funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Perry Boyd officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
