Virginia M. Smith 91 formerly of Westernport, MD died on Nov. 20, 2013 at The Willows at Meadow Branch in Winchester, VA where she has resided for the past 5 years.
She was born on August 15, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Arvo K. Harlin and Salli (Koskinen) Harlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Randall Smith who died on December 30, 2000.

Virginia was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Piedmont for many years. She was well known in the Tri-Towns for her work with the Piedmont Herald. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Westernport. She loved to go antiqueing and traveled to many places. She also loved dancing and listing to music.

She is survived by three nephews, Courtland Smith and wife Barbara of Winchester, VA; Gordon Smith and wife Judy of New Albany, IN and Randy Smith and wife Kathleen of Felton, PA. She is also survived by her grand nieces and great grand nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV on Tuesday Nov. 26, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Steve Grimes, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Philos Cemetery in Westernport, MD.
The family request that Memorials for Virginia be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church in Piedmont, WV.
