Daniel CADLE was born in 1846 in Mercer, West Virginia. He was the son of Martin Cadle (1817-1908) and Elizabeth Cook Cadle (1813-1900) of Summers County, West Virginia, formerly Mercer County.

He married Nancy PETRY on November 9, 1869, in Mercer County, West Virginia. They had four children; Frances Leora (1870-1921), William Martin (1875-1952), Sarah Florence (1877-1908), Mary Emily (1880-1974).

By 1880, the family had moved west to Talleyrand, Kansas towards the end of a severe drought. They soon moved to Sidney, Iowa, and eventually settled just outside of Nebraska City in Wyoming, Nebraska.

Daniel CADLE died on February 13, 1919, in Hinton, West Virginia, at the age of 73 towards the end of the flu epidemic of 1918 while visiting his sisters in West Virginia. His body was returned to Nebraska City, Nebraska for burial at Wyuka Cemetery.
