Nancy PETRY was born on December 2, 1844, in West Virginia. She was the daughter of Jacob Petry (1824-1903) and Catharine Massey Petry (1819-1859) of West Virginia.
She married Daniel CADLE on November 9, 1869, in Mercer County, West Virginia. They had four children; Frances Leora (1870-1921), William Martin (1875-1952), Sarah Florence (1877-1908), Mary Emily (1880-1974).
By 1880, the family had moved west to Talleyrand, Kansas towards the end of a severe drought. They soon moved to Sidney, Iowa, and eventually settled just outside of Nebraska City in Wyoming, Nebraska.
She died on September 22, 1911, in Wyoming, Nebraska, at the age of 66, and was buried at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
