Crowe, Maxwell B. Age 82. Peacefully on his birthday, May 25, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, following a courageous battle with a heart condition. Born in Hancock County, KY, he was long time Joliet area resident. Retired from Fleischmanns Distillery in Plainfield after many years of service. His greatest loves in life were spending time with his family, gardening, cooking, and especially fishing. Preceded in death by his parents, Bertram and Stella Crowe; and one sister, Beverly Winstead. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy (nee Wettstain) Crowe of Joliet; two sons, Dennis (Debbie) Crowe of Evansville, IN, and Steve (Joyce) Crowe of Joliet; one daughter, Gayle (Charles) Stimac of Shorewood; five grandchildren, Kevin, Stephanie (Eric), Stacy, Jason and Amy; two great-grandsons, Anthony and Carter; one brother, Donald (Rosie) Crowe of Owensboro, KY; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Maxwell B. Crowe will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the American Heart Association would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday 5-8 p.m. FRED C.
