The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, February 13, 1956:
Private services will be held at 1 pm Monday in the Smith & Kernke family room for Charles P. Turner, 70, of 416 NW Hill, retired Clinton retail merchant, who died in St Anthony Hospital Saturday, following a heart attack Friday. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family requests flowers not be sent. Turner was born in Waco, Texas, and came to Oklahoma 45 years ago, when he established his retail business in Clinton. In 1924 he moved to Oklahoma City to make his home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Ida M. Turner; a daughter, Mrs Mary E. Powell; a son, Harry D. Turner, all of the home; and a granddaughter, Mrs William F. Ewing Jr, 916 E. Drive.
