Yvonne, known to her friends as Vonnie, was born on Aug. 18, 1935, in Bandana, Ky. She was the daughter of Dean and Lillian (Booker) Crain.
Vonnie spent her formative years in Bandana along with her 10 siblings, Jewel Crain, Robert Crain, James Crain, Paul Crain, Ernst Crain, Dorothy Crain Stevens, Mary Crain Arivett, Eugene Crain, Rebecca Crain and Eddie Ray Crain.
Vonnie married Allen Goodman Coffey on Aug. 22, 1954, at the First United Methodist Church in Rantoul. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2009.
Vonnie and Al were blessed with three children, Debra Ann (Daniel Jr. deceased) Stumpf, Angela Marie (Patrick) Krickovich and David Allen (Leana) Coffey. They were also blessed with 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Vonnie was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Rantoul, where she served on the Altar Guild. She loved playing cards, cooking, shopping, dancing with her husband and entertaining friends.
But more than anything, Vonnie loved her family. She spent many hours with her kids and grandkids spoiling them, and loving every minute of it. She will be missed by all of them.
