Mary Lindsey Johnson, was born in Paris Bourbon County, Ky., to parents Martha and George Lindsey. She arrived in Missouri with her parents and three siblings, Amanda, Wilbert and Elizabeth Lindsey from the farm of Thomas Lindsey and Keizah Jones from Paris Bourbon County, Kentucky. When she arrived in Misssouri, Mary was small child seven years old; sister Amanda Lindsey, nine, brother Wilbert Lindsey, five years old , and Elizabeth three years old, all lived on Ravenswood Farm, Bellaire, Missouri. Mary Lindsey Johnson married Achilles Johnson (his third marriage),in 1889, Bunceton Township, Cooper County, Missouri. Mary Lindsey Johnson and Achilles Johnson, other children, son Rueben Johnson, g-mother Mary "Mamie" Johnson, twins, Ollie and Mollie Johnson.
Mary raised her older sister's son Moss Johnson to the age of maturity. Mary had a daugther named Ellen. After the death of Achilles c1912, she moved to Boonville, Missouri to be with her daugther Mamie and son/in/law William George Finley.
