Age 64y. Dr. John Revenaugh graduated from the Medical College in Columbus, Ohio. He moved in 1853 to 80 acres in Ingham County. It was wild land given to him by his father, Samuel, a veteran of the War of 1812. In 1856 he moved to Shiawassee County and set up as the local doctor on the corner of Bancroft and Newburg Roads. This was the bustling town of Newburg, where he practiced medicine until his death. (The town of Newburg no longer exists.)
