Rufus Edward Capps, 84, of Wynne, AR passed away at his home Saturday, 9/10/2011.

He was a member of Earle Assembly of God Church in Earle, AR; a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran and a mechanic for Tom Gibson Ford as well as other dealerships throughout the area.

He was also self- employed for several years.
After retirement he was called upon for his expertise as an auto mechanic and keep busy doing lawn mower and small engine repairs for friends and neighbors and finding a fishing hole.

He never met a stranger and he always had a story to tell.
He will be missed greatly by all who new and loved him.

Mr. Capps is survived by wife, Edith Capps of Wynne; two daughters, Patsy Wright (Jiles) of Marion, AR and Sandra Chism of Southaven, MS; four step-daughters, Carolyn Milam of Harrison, AR; Dianne Shannon (Bobby) of Marion, AR; Elaine Luff (Howard) of Lake City, AR and Janet Washburn of Reidsville, NC; two step-sons, Larry Mynatt (Pam) of Springdale, AR and Jim Mynatt (Betty) of Marion.
One sister, Veda Walton of Collierville, TN; three grandchildren, Jiles Wright III (Chris) of Paragould, AR; Shawn Wright (Jean) of Roswell, GA and Elizabeth Chis of Southaven, MS; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by is first wife, Janie Brazile Capps; his parents Rosie Luella & William Henry Capps; three brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be Monday, September 12, 2011 form 6:00-8:00 PM at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis and service will be he Tuesday, September 13 at 2:00 PM at Earle First Assembly of God Church with interment following the services at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR
