Verma G. Hamm, 76, of Martinsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at the Morgan County Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born March 4, 1936 to the late Emma (Garsenett) and Clifford Krebbs. Verma worked most of her life as a waitress which she did very well. She was so friendly and kind to all who knew her. She worked at MCL Cafeteria at the College Mall. She also worked a short time at GE. Verma loved to bowl in her younger years and play euchre with family and friends. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved the lights and all the festivities.

Verma is survived by her children, Sherry (Randy) Farmer of Mooresville, Terre (Stan) Keasling of Patton, MO, and Roger S. (Mindy) Hamm of Springville; sisters, Frances Deckard and Lottie Clayton; half sisters, Juanita Turpin, Karen Evans and Reba Bolin; half brothers, Rick and Roger Krebbs; eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Roger K. Hamm; sister, Ruby Plummer; brother, Bill Krebbs; and half brothers, Wendell Rogers and Johnny Rogers.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville with a dear friend of the family Scott Lane officiating. Interment is to follow at Carmichael Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
