Named for her paternal great-grandmother, Edith Lavinia Tilson Sheets Wampler, who passed away weeks before she was born. Daughter of Clay & Lizzie Crye Chapman, Sister of Hugh Chapman, Reed Chapman, Anna Mae Chapman Miller, & Clayton Chapman, Jr.. Raised by paternal uncle & wife, Steve & Etta Thompson McKinley, in Loudon Co., after she was orphaned, just after her 10th birthday. (She had lost her father just after she turned 7.) Wife of Gary Kellar, mother of Anita Marie, & Jena Faye, who were orphaned, themselves, when Gary died in 1977. Lavena was a good, sweet person, haunted by tragedy. She, like her parents, & brothers, left this world much too soon. We have no photos of her gravesite, and don't know where her girls are, today. Sad, but true. She is not, however, forgotten.
