Ben Wade Chandler, 70, of 22443 Meyler St., died Nov. 16, 2002, at Southland Care Center in Norwalk, Calif. He was a native of Traveler's Rest, SC, the son of the late Randus Scott Chandler and Annie Mae Medlin Chandler.

Graveside services included full military honors by the WW2 Last Man Club. He was a retired longshoreman, and a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War.

He was survived by his wife, Peggy M. Chandler, Torrance, CA.; sister, Ruby Holtzclaw, Winston-Salem; brothers, Perry A. Chandler, Gastonia, John E. Chandler, Gastonia, Robert O. Chandler, Belmont, Mitchell Chandler, Gastonia; nieces and nephews.
