Jerry Lee Bailey, 74, died Friday, September 14, 2012 at his home.

Jerry was born March 24, 1938 at Stafford County, Kansas, the son of George and Alice Miller Bailey.

A resident of Hutchinson, Kansas for many years, moving to Dodge City in 1961.

He enjoyed bowling, traveling, listening to western music, and watching western movies. Jerry was the president of the Men's Bowling Association for 17 years and a lifetime member and past Commander of the American Legion. On April 2, 2005 Jerry was inducted into the Kansas State Bowling Hall of Fame.

Jerry Served his Country with the United States Marines from 1957 to 1960.

He worked for the United States Postal Service until he retired in 1993.

He worked several jobs after retiring, most recently delivering flowers for Humble Flowers. Dodge City.

On October 19, 1989 he married Lois Droste in Wichita, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Jeffrey Bailey and Jennifer, Hillsboro, Oregon; 3 daughters, Darcy Foreman and husband Roy, Ensign, Stephanie Elder and husband Mark, Dodge City and Trina Bailey-Alas and husband Rolando, Vancouver, Washington; a step-son, Duane Randall and wife Natasha, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a step-daughter Debbie Andrasek and husband Carl, Great Bend, Kansas; a brother Beverly Bailey, Sierra Vista, Arizona; two sisters, Lois McMullen, Liberal, Norma Jean Burk, New Iberia, Louisiana, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Robert, Arthur, Floyd and George Bailey, sister, Letha Barker.
