Howard George Brugh, 78, of Pembroke, departed this life Sunday evening, September 16, 2012, at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek. Born in Ripplemead on January 28, 1934, he was a son of the late Clyde and Nannie Sue Merrix Brugh. He was employed as a Master Mason in the building industries. Preceding him in death are his parents; his daughter, Kimberly Brugh; and his sons, Marshall and Cullen Brugh. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Martin Brugh, of Blacksburg; and his sister, Esther Hunley; of Martinsville; his seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Fillinger Cemetery at Pembroke.
