Bernard Boyle
Bernard M. Boyle, 84, of 2627 Avenue H, Fort Madison, died at 8:50 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, 1994, at the Fort Madison Health Center. He had been in failing health for the past two years.
Bom Jan. 2, 1910, in Burlington, he was the son of Henry and Louisa Weis Boyle. On Nov. 25, 1935, he married Frances K Huennekens in Burlington.
Mr. Boyle was a machinist with John Deere Co., retiring in 1969 with 33 years of service.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. He lived in East Moline, Ill., for 35 years, 10 years in West Burlington and the past 12 years in Fort Madison.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ronald J. of Kennesaw, Ga., George H. of Fort Madison and Paul F. of Chillicothe, Ill.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lois Klaner of Gait, Calif., Kay Beckman and Noreen Sink, both of Burlington, and Theresa Williams of Kirkland,
Wash.; a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Visitation will be after noon
Wednesday at the King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison, where the fanaily will receive friends between 3:30 and 5 p.m. and between 7 and 8 p.m. A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
The funeral for Mr. Boyle will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, Fort Madison,
with Rev. Tim Sheedy officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fort Madison.
A memorial has been established to the Fort Madison Catholic School system. Contributions
may be left at King-Lynk Funeral Home.
