Death Comes to Sarah Ann Teten
Sarah Ann Teten, 48, well known Nebraska City woman, died at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday five months after she suffered an embolism.
Mrs. Teten, wife of Harvey Teten of the Otoe County National bank, was a native of Nebraska City. She was educated in the public schools here, and was one of the best known and best-liked women of the community. Mrs. Teten had held many responsible positions. For many years she was in the Nebraska City Federal Savings and Loan Association. When she became ill she was clerk of the selective service board here.
She was born August 10, 1902, here, the daughter of Frank and Anna Golden. On Sept. 30, 1923, she married Harvey H. Teten at Glenwood, Iowa. She was a member of the Baptist church, in which she was very active.
Surviving are Mr. Teten and their son, H. H. Teten, Jr., and four brothers, Frank and George Golden, Nebraska City; Reuben Golden of St. Joseph, Mo., and Wm. L. Golden of Hillsboro, Oregon.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church in Nebraska City at 2 P.M. on Friday, February 9, with the Rev. D. H. McMillan in charge. Burial will be at Wyuka.
The body will be at the Person mortuary until time of the funeral. Pallbearers will be Earl Cole, Millard Whited, Carl Baltensperger, George Golden Jr., Wm. R. Golden and Herbert Golden.
