She was born May 31, 1910, in rural Zenda, to Frank and Kate Osborn Swingle.
A lifetime resident of Zenda, she was a homemaker and a member of Zenda United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
On Oct. 2, 1928, she married Ray Cornelius. He died April 17, 1995. She also was preceded in death by a son, Wayne; two brothers, Ira and Alden Swingle; a sister, Imogene Madison; and a grandson, Billy Ray Padfield.
Survivors include a son, Roland Cornelius of Garden City; a daughter, Virginia Brown of Kingman; a sister, Billie Proctor of Blackwell, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, officiated by Tal Tittsworth, chaplain. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Zenda.
Visitation hours are noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Harry Hynes Hospice or Zenda Emergency Medical Services, both in care of the funeral home, 1830 N. Main St., Kingman, KS 67068.
