Eleanor B. Sprague

YORKVILLE - Eleanor B. Sprague, 66, of 214 Fifth Street, October 16, 1980 in Faxton Hospital.

She was born in Cooperstown, June 6, 1914, daughter of Frederick and Florence Ingalls Bailey. She received her education in Cooperstown High School and the School of Nursing at Memorial Hospital. She was married to William J. Sprague, July 26, 1935 in Utica. Mrs. Sprague was employed at the Munson-William-Proctor Institute, has been a 25 year resident of Yorkville. She was a member of the Whitesboro Baptist Church and a member and past president of the Yorkville Fire Department Auxiliary.

Beside her husband, Mrs. Sprague is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Joan) Crowe of Clayville; four sons, Jack B. Sprague of Yorkville, David Sprague and Paul Sprague both of Utica, and William Sprague of Webster; seventeen grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Margarite) Leslie of Richfield Springs; one brother, Robert Bailey of Cooperstown; one step-brother Merrill Bailey of Fort Worth, TX; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the J.W. Dimbleby Funeral Home, with the Rev. John S. Hutchison, officiating. Interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9. ["Utica Daily Press, Page Thirteen, Utica, Oneida, New York, October 15, 1980."]
